Ask any women and she can tell you that men cheat. I agree that it’s a known fact that most men at one time or the other do feel like having a fling outside their current relationship, but contrary to the popular beliefs (women’s beliefs that is) the reasons are different. You can’t even dream about asking the reason from a woman because 99% of the time you’ll get the wrong answers. Want to hear it from the horse’s mouth? Read on…
Reason No 1- It’s not always about Sex honey
Yes you read that right; contrary to the popular belief most men don’t cheat for sex. They cheat because they are emotionally dissatisfied and they feel un-appreciated. Now you’d say; “No no no that’s the reason why women cheat” and yes you are true, however about 50% of the men also cheat for the same reason. It’s a fact that men usually aren’t seen as emotional beings and that’s exactly where most women fail to understand men. Men have more or less the same emotional needs as women; the problem is their failure to express the need. Every man likes appreciation (on and off the bed) but men are just too stuck up to ask for it or let you know, it’s considered just ‘unmanly’ to do ask for it. This need generally gets fulfilled by someone else and it turns into an affair. Honestly, if women could just learn to appreciate their men; the men would return the appreciation twice as much.
Reason No 2 – He’s got an a partner in crime
Most men do have a sense of resentment to cheating, they don’t want to do it in the 1st place, most of the time they’re not able to justify it. However, as soon as they find a friend who has also cheated, they get the courage to experiment. The usual excuse; if he can do it and be happy about it, why can’t I?
Just like friends who like a certain sport like to hang out together, men who resort to cheating do find a partner in crime. So, if you know that your partner has a friend who cheats my suggestion, ask your partner to spend more time with you than his friend.
The fact files of cheaters
Apart from these reason there are a few facts too let’s explore and bust some common myths
Fact 1 – She doesn’t have to be beautiful
Men don’t always go for the beautiful women to have an affair with, for a simple fact; most of the beautiful women are ‘unavailable’. The fact is sex has nothing to do with how attractive the mistress is, she just has to available, willing and able. In case you forgot, it isn’t always about sex, so it’s the emotional needs 1st, sex happens somewhere in-between on its own as sex is also an extension of the male emotion.
Fact 2 – Cheating is not about one night stands
Everything is related you see, since it’s more about emotional needs than other needs one night stands don’t really work. I’m not saying that they don’t happen, but they don’t happen as often as most women suspect. So know this, the man would most likely end up cheating with the women who caters to his emotional needs more than physical needs. This means he doesn’t need a lot of options just the right now. This is the exact kind of stuff that makes cheating, dangerous and harmful to a real relationship.
Fact 3 – Cheaters do feel guilty
Most of the cheaters don’t really start with an intention of cheating; if they had they wouldn’t have had a relationship to begin with, they would’ve been happy sleeping around. So they do feel the guilt once they have had a fling and remember the reason why they got into a relationship first, the feeling of guilt and resentment settles in. But the cheaters are capable of shutting the feelings off. But if your man is feeling guilty about cheating and he lets you know, the only sure shot way of not making him cheat again is to make him feel more guilty and letting him know that if only he had let you know the reason or how to make him feel better this thing wouldn’t have ever happened.
Fact of the matter is some guys will cheat no matter what, but the others can change and not resort to cheating at all. It all depends on how well does the man understand his woman and the woman understands her man.
